Allison McGevna is a writer, editor, cultural influencer, and award-winning media executive. She has spent nearly two decades creating and producing unique editorial and multimedia content, building teams, and refining digital strategy.  She’s been a key leader at several legacy media brands, including ESSENCE, Urban One, and Newscorp and her work has appeared in Glamour, Mother.ly, and People magazine, among others. As an author and screenwriter, Allison’s work has been recognized by the Austin Film Festival, Final Draft, African American Women in Cinema (AAWIC), and other prestigious organizations. As a human, she’s passionate about advocacy, strong coffee, historical fiction and beautiful shoes.
